For the past 25 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.
"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you
need. -Matthew 6:33
This applies to the Boxing fight earlier, when Marquez PRAISED Himself while Pacquiao PRAYED after the round 12. See the difference?"
Do you love yourself? This is a question that might seem simple, yet many people have a hard time answering it. There is nothing wrong in loving yourself. Loving yourself is necessary for your well being. Loving yourself is necessary to lead a successful and happy life filled with confidence. After all, how can you become happy if you don’t love yourself? Since happiness comes from within, you need to love yourself in the process.
5 Ways to Learn to Love Yourself
1. Pay attention to your self talk. Learn to talk to yourself in a positive and loving way. Many people talk negatively to themselves and keep saying statements like “I’m not good” “I’m will not achieve my goals.” “I’m depressed” among other statements. When you talk positively to yourself, you are programming your subconscious mind with positive images. Whatever you program your subconscious mind with is what you attract to your life. Start talking kindly to yourself and you will be on the path to self love.
2. Forgive yourself. I’m sure you have made some mistakes that you are not proud of. Know that we all make mistakes. There is no person that hasn’t made mistakes in life. There are some people who made mistakes and keep feeling guilty. They believe they can’t and shouldn’t be forgiven. What you have to remember is that there is nothing that you have done that you shouldn’t be forgiven for. Forgiving yourself might take some time, but if you learn to change your thoughts and view the mistakes you have done as experiences that you learn from, forgiving yourself will be much easier for you.
3. Always love yourself. Many people start to lose confidence in themselves if they meet someone who doesn’t like them. Let me ask you a question, do you like and get along with everyone that you meet in life? Life is filled with people who have different opinions and beliefs about different situations, cultures, politics and religion. It is that difference that makes life beautiful filled with different opportunities. You have to love yourself at all times. You are a precious gift to the world. Learn to love yourself unconditionally. Differentiate between who you are and your actions. Love yourself for the simple fact that you exist.
4. Pamper yourself. Learn to pamper yourself for something you like. Pampering and treating yourself helps reduce your stress and worry. When you are free of stress and worry, your brain is calm and you are able to love yourself more freely.
5. Stop seeking approval. If you are like most people, the chances are you sought approval at one time in life. It is good to want people’s approval, but when approval becomes a need instead of a want, this is when it becomes dangerous and could affect your self love. Not seeking approval is good for you because it teaches you to be confident in yourself and in your values. There are many people who put a lot of importance on what other people say. While listening to what other people say is important, their opinion shouldn’t be more important than your opinion. Remember, you are a unique person that should always be loved. You are a true gift to the world and do not ever forget that.
Maybe it’s not always about trying to fix something broken. Maybe it’s about starting over and creating something better.
Certain situations arise in lives in which things can not be fixed, and need to be started over. Though giving up on a life into which you put your all into may be one the hardest things to do (if it’s not the hardest), it may also be the most beneficial choice. Starting a new life happens everyday to people who split up, get divorced, go bankrupt, lose jobs, lose close loved ones and many other difficult scenarios. It is recommended that before starting over to try to work out all potential solutions, but as most of us know, sometimes there is no better solution than to just start from scratch.
Starting over can be done most effectively with the designing and implementation of a solid plan or set of goals. It is essential before starting over to make sure you use all assets, support systems, and aid to ensure that you will have a smooth take off on your new journey. Starting over is most always difficult, but can also be the most beneficial decision that you will ever make in life.
I am eternally grateful for all the wonderful things God has given me and shown me - not material things but life, friends, family, insight into my life, and the ability to love and be loved. The list is endless! He is truly the greatest and He is truly the way to all that is good!
ARE VITAMINS REALLY NEEDED? New study sees little need for vitamins, cites risks -YAHOO! PHILIPPINES
There is no need for most people to take vitamin supplements and some may even be linked to a higher risk of dying in older women, according to a study published Monday in the United States.
Iron stood out among supplements as a particular concern, while calcium appeared to be linked to lower death risk, said the study in the Archives of Internal Medicine, a journal of the American Medical Association.
With about half of Americans taking vitamin pills of some kind, the study aimed to examine whether the $20 billion supplement industry was having any effect on extending lifespan in an already well-nourished population.
The researchers confirmed their theory — that supplements were not helping people ward off death. But the reasons for the link to higher risk of overall mortality, or the risk of dying for any reason, were less clear.
“Based on existing evidence, we see little justification for the general and widespread use of dietary supplements,” wrote the study authors from the University of Eastern Finland and the University of Minnesota.
“We found that several commonly used dietary vitamin and mineral supplements, including multivitamins, vitamins B6, and folic acid, as well as minerals iron, magnesium, zinc, and copper, were associated with a higher risk of total mortality.”
The US and Finnish researchers examined data from the Iowa Women’s Health Study, including surveys filled out by 38,772 women with an average age of 62.
Women self-reported their supplement use in 1986, 1997 and 2004, and data showed their use rose from 66 percent of survey-takers at the start to 85 percent by 2004.
Those who took supplements showed a range of healthy lifestyle factors, and were more likely than non-supplement users to be non-smokers, eat low-fat diets and exercise.
But in many cases they showed a higher risk of dying than their supplement-free counterparts.
“Of particular concern, supplemental iron was strongly and dose dependently associated with increased total mortality risk,” said the study.
On the other hand, “supplemental calcium was consistently inversely related to total mortality rate,” meaning that calcium-takers showed a lower death risk, though the same dosage relationship was not visible.
The authors said they could not rule out the possibility that the reason for the higher death rate in iron users could have been due to underlying conditions for which they were taking supplements, and more research is needed.
In the meantime, doctors urged patients to consider the risks of taking supplements unless they are needed to stave off deficiencies.
“We think the paradigm ‘the more the better’ is wrong,” wrote doctors Goran Bjelakovic of the University of Nis in Serbia and Christian Gluud of Copenhagen University Hospital in Denmark in an accompanying commentary.
These findings “add to the growing evidence demonstrating that certain antioxidant supplements, such as vitamin E, vitamin A, and beta-carotene, can be harmful,” they said.
“We cannot recommend the use of vitamin and mineral supplements as a preventive measure, at least not in a well-nourished population.”
Bjelakovic and Gluud said the only supplement that may be beneficial to older women, and possibly older men, is vitamin D3, if they do not already get enough through their diet or from sun exposure.
“The issue of whether to use calcium supplements may require further study,” they added.

A CHAT WITH JESUS CHRIST…

Jesus: Hello. Did you call me?
Man: Called you? No. Who is this?
Jesus: This is Jesus. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.
Man: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.
Jesus: What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.
Man: Don’t know. But I can’t find free time. Life has become hectic. It’s rush hour all the time.
Jesus: Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.
Man: I understand. But I still can’t figure out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.
Jesus: Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.
Man: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?
Jesus: Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.
Man: why are we then constantly unhappy?
Jesus: Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That’s why you are not happy.
Man: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?
Jesus: Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.
Man: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty.
Jesus: Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.
Man: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?
Jesus: Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don’t suffer. With that experience their life become better not bitter.
Man: You mean to say such experience is useful?
Jesus: Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.
Man: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can’t we be free from problems?
Jesus: Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.
Man: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don’t know where we are heading.
Jesus: If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.
Man: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?
Jesus: Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.
Man: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?
Jesus: Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.
Man: What surprises you about people?
Jesus: When they suffer they ask, “why me? When they prosper, they never ask “Why me” Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.
Man: Sometimes I ask, who I am, why am I here. I can’t get the answer.
Jesus: Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.
Man: How can I get the best out of life?
Jesus: Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.
Man: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.
Jesus: There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.
Man: Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the day with a new sense of inspiration.
Jesus: Well. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don’t believe your doubts and doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live.
Man: Thank you so much.
Jesus: You are always welcome. Have a good day my friend.
” Always remember, God’s Word is the Word for YOU “.
